Response to CoronaVirus

Spencer Family Church Re-Opening Guidelines

We, the board, have adopted the following guidelines for re-opening our public worship services beginning Sunday, May 31, 2020

Phase One Guidelines:

  • Worship Service at 10:30 am (service not to exceed an hour)
  • No children’s ministry at this time. Children may sit with their parents in the service.
  • We ask that families sit together (children need to sit with their parents only)
  • Maintain social distancing guidelines while gathered for worship. (No shaking hands or touching one another)
  • Bathroom available if necessary (we encourage everyone to take care of that before they come) if you use the bathroom please wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Use sanitizer before entering the building and upon existing the building.
  • Masks are not required but use at your discretion
  • If you are sick stay home (if you have had flu symptoms in the past 14 days stay home)
  • If you are at high risk or uncomfortable coming feel free to stay home.
  • The seating in the sanctuary will be usher assisted and ushers will seat people according to family members.
  • If you want to socialize do it outside the building after church at the social distancing guidelines.
  • Offering plates will be set out so people can drop their tithes and offerings into the plates upon arriving or upon existing the building.
  • Immediately following the conclusion of the service, we will have the ushers escort you out of the building in an orderly fashion (one family at a time).
  • Upon arrival we will escort each family into the sanctuary to be seated. Once seated please do not get up and move around.
  • The Life groups will start back up using social distancing guidelines and common-sense hygiene practices.
  • The Wednesday evening life group and children’s ministry will remain closed until further notice.
For those who do not attend the services in person at our building, we will continue to have the message portion of our service live on FaceBook at about 10:45 Sunday morning as we did prior to closing for our Corona Virus Response. It will continue to be on Brian's page:  https://www.facebook.com/blackshirtfan1

If you don't have FaceBook, you can still listen to the sermon here!

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

We are delighted that you have chosen to visit our site today.

Our purpose when gathering is to exalt God, to edify the body, and to evangelize the world. Exaltation is our response to God through thanksgiving, praise and worship. Edification is our way of teaching the Word of God, encouraging one another, and to disciple the body of Christ. Evangelism is our call to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him.

Thank you for visiting the SFC website. If you are in the Spencer area we would like to invite you to join us for worship. In addition, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you.

Grace and Peace!
Pastor Larry Neiderhiser
